Our Mission
At Alternative Therapy Center we strive to provide the highest quality massage therapy treatments possible. Each treatment is always geared towards your goals. Whether it’s providing relief for a simple kink in your neck or reversing years of postural patterns that are not serving you.
We listen and provide a treatment best suited to achieve your goals.
About Our St. Pete Office
We are the oldest massage establishment in St. Petersburg. Alternative Therapy Center has been providing the St. Pete community with quality massage therapy services for over 35 years.
We encourage maintenance visits however we are not a “membership” style facility. Because we all share clientele, we do encourage and welcome you to visit all of our knowledgable licensed massage therapists.

Gina
Gina is a Nationally Certified Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork practitioner. She is a member of the American and Florida State Massage Therapy associations. You can usually find her at athletic events as a member of the FSMTA Sports Massage Team. She has been practicing for over 25 years and has studied all over the country in Sports massage, neuromuscular therapy, PNF Stretching, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome and TMJ Dysfunction. Her goal is to educate you and reduce pain and stress without drugs and surgery.
Shawn Michelle
Shawn is a licensed and nationally certified massage therapist with 20 years of hands-on experience. Her background began in the medical field working closely with chiropractors, osteopathic physicians and nurse practitioners which shaped her holistic clinical approach to care. Shawn joined Alternative Therapy Center in April 2016 and specializes in lymphatic drainage, cupping therapy and medical massage. She offers personalized treatment that supports healing, recovery and overall wellness. When she’s not in the treatment room, you will find her outdoors, preferably on the water, surfing or paddle boarding and enjoying nature.
Megan
Megan comes to us from many years at the Don Cesar as one of their lead therapists. She’s been practicing for 16 years and specializes in deep tissue, myofascial release and Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques (MAT). She played competitive hocky for many years and currently has a love for skating and indoor rock climbing. Her love of sports led her to a career in bodywork and she’s a perfect fit to our team!
